Eurus Seed Phrase

The seed phrase is another manifestation of the plaintext private key, first proposed by the BIP39 proposal, to help users remember complex private keys (64-bit hashes). Seed phrases are generally composed of 12, 15, 18, and 21 words. These words are taken from a fixed vocabulary and the order of generation is also based on a certain algorithm, so you do not need to worry that random 12 words can access a blockchain address.

Although both seed phrase and keystore can be used as another form of a private key, unlike keystore, the seed phrase is an unencrypted private key. Anyone who gets your seed phrases can access your account and take away your assets without any effort.

Eurus seed phrases consist of 12 single words. After you have created a decentralized wallet, in order to receive and send assets, please back up the unique set of seed phrases according to the notification in the page of receiving assets.

If you would like to “Back up later”, you could back up the seed phrases in “Setting” whenever you want.

B:To Eurus Network: Transferring
is almost immediate.
Please be aware that the transfer arrival time may fluctuate according to different factors such as the network pressure of blockchains.

Q: Why has withdrawal/deposit not arrived?

A: Withdrawal or deposit not arrived may be caused by below situations:

1. Smart contract inconsistent:Eurus only supports transactions under smart contract ERC20, the assets of transactions under other smart contracts are not able to be recovered.

2. Wrong address:Since the wallet address consists of multiple digits, it is suggested to carry out transactions through copy and paste the wallet address or scanning QR code.

3. Unsupported assets:Assets are not able to be recovered if that asset is not supported by Eurus.

4. Recipient amount limit:Withdrawal may not arrive at the target recipient since the amount is less than the minimum deposit limit of the recipient.

5.Receive assets blockchain is inconsistent:Eurus wallet provides“Eurus” or “Ethereum” addresses, respectively.Eurus addresses are only available to Eurus users. Be sure that the user’s receiving network corresponds with the network where assets are sent. Otherwise, assets will not be retrieved.

Q: Why do the assets disappear after importing the wallet?

A: If the balance of your assets is not shown probably, you may encounter one of following scenarios:

Scenario 1: “Create” new wallet instead of “Import” wallet

“Create” a new wallet is a distinct concept and manipulation from the “Import” wallet. “Create” a new wallet means creating a new address on blockchains, therefore it is reasonable to have no assets for a new wallet. On the contrary, the “Import” wallet means importing the on-chain address of another wallet you had into Eurus. If there are assets in the imported on-chain address, the assets will be shown in Eurus while importing the on-chain address.

Scenario 2: Confuse the seed phrases of different wallets

In general, a set of seed phrases refers to a corresponding on-chain address. If you are holding several wallets, please ensure that the set of seed phrases is precise and corresponds to the on-chain address being imported when importing the wallet.
Result of confusing seed phrases: you could import an on-chain address, however the assets could be incorrect since you may import the wrong address.

Scenario 3: Wallet imported is not supported by Eurus

Only wallets with seed phrases consisting of twelve single words are supported for importation to Eurus. If the seed phrases of the wallet do not consist of twelve single words, Eurus is unable to recognize and import the on-chain address.

Scenario 4: Seed phrases backup error

Seed phrases backup error. There are only 2048 single words, not all of the words, chosen as the seed phrases. Therefore, you are unable to import the wallet if you enter non-standard or wrong seed phrases. You could check the seed phrases backup before importing wallet such as spelling or copying mistakes, then enter the correct seed phrases again.

Scenario 5: Imported wallet contains unsupported assets

If the assets you imported are not listed among the 36 assets that Eurus Wallet supports, the assets will not be shown, and the side-chain transaction will not be carried out within the Eurus Wallet. However, it does not affect the balance and transaction on the on-chain.

Q: How to maintain asset safety

A: The main feature of Decentralized Wallet is users could manage their assets autonomously, which requires users to keep the private keys properly, avoiding loss of assets.
